Traumas and bereavement are inevitable in life. Sometimes the intensity of the pain and the lingering emotions can trap one inside a bottomless pit, making one feel lost in life. This course is an extension of [AT2101 Art Therapy for Emotions and Traumas] in the “Art Therapy Certificate Programme”. It further explores the formation mechanism of bereavement and trauma, and discuss on the principles, method, and relevant precautions when handling them. In regard to trauma, students will learn to use art to eliminate fear and unconscious blocks in that hinder life, such that post-traumatic growth can be attained. Concerning bereavement, the use of art to transform bereavement will be discussed, such that life motivation can be restored, and the beauty of life can be revitalised. Students will also be inspired to reflect on own belief in face of fear and pain, in order to achieve growth of life.
